Advanced Airway forms Print E-mail

Advanced airway forms are mandatory.

Filling out advanced airway forms when you utilize endotracheal tubes or combitubes is mandatory. The forms can be found at the EMS desk at Cape Cod Hospital or downloaded from this website and stored on your ambulances. Please take the time to fill these forms out, have them signed by the attending physician and leave a copy with the sarf.

INTRODUCTION TO STATEWIDE TREATMENT PROTOCOLS             The goal of any Emergency Medical Services System is to provide the finest out of hospital medical care to all the citizens and visitors of its jurisdiction in a timely and efficient manner. The treatment protocols found in this text are designed to immediately and definitively manage emergent patient illnesses and injuries such that rapid intervention by all levels of EMT personnel will alleviate patient suffering and ultimately allow the patient to be delivered to a receiving hospital in an already improved clinical state whenever possible.

Whether the info is a critical update from OEMS or just a schedule of the upcoming M&M rounds, we would like to think that it is useful in general. New drugs and training Print E-mail

The new Statewide Treatment Protocols include several new drugs to be carried by ambulance services. The CIEMSS office is busy compiling the appropriate training materials to ensure that our member agencies are prepared to carry these new drugs and to utilize them properly while following the treatment protocols. Training materials will be delivered to each agency shortly. Please check with your local EMS officer/coordinator to find details related to your agency.
