Cape & Islands Emergency Medical Services System is an independent not-for-profit organization supported by its members, providing administrative and education services to the Fire Departments and Ambulance Services it represents. Our goal is to reduce death and disability resulting from sudden or serious injury and illness on Cape Cod and the Islands through planning, development and delivery of a comprehensive, coordinated area-wide emergency medical services system, the presentation of superior training programs, and other technical assistance and support to enable the EMS community to provide the highest quality emergency medical care possible to those in need. Areas of involvement include; •         Education•         Representation at the the local and state levels•         Administration•         Facilitator of information•         Interaction between agencies•         Issuing of authorization to practice for Cape Cod Hospital  Our Mission Statement The job of Cape & Islands EMS is to help the field providers help the citizens during medical emergencies.
